In this class, you will learn a comprehensive foundation of hair cutting skills, tools, and techniques while also exploring advanced methods to refine your craft. What We’ll Cover: • Understanding Hair Types – Straight, wavy, curly, and coily textures and how to approach each. • Clipper Knowledge – Blades, guards, attachments, and how to use them effectively. • Tools of the Trade – Combs (cutting, tail, etc.) and brushes suited for different hair types. • Sectioning Skills – Why sectioning matters for precision and balance. • Hair Science Basics – Follicles, shafts, and cuticles, and how they influence cutting results. • Growth Patterns – How to recognize and work with cowlicks, natural partings, and direction of growth. • Density & Texture – Identifying variations and adjusting your approach accordingly. • Sectioning Techniques – Horizontal, vertical, and diagonal partings for balanced shaping. Cutting Methods: • Blunt Cutting – Classic straight-line cuts for sharp bobs and sleek looks. • Point Cutting – Softening edges for movement and natural flow. • Layering – Adding dimension and enhancing shape. • Texturizing – Removing bulk while maintaining length and style. Consultation & Communication: • How to understand client needs and expectations. • Asking the right questions to analyze hair type, lifestyle, and desired outcome. • Recommending styles based on face shape (oval, round, square, etc.). • Managing expectations for realistic and satisfying results. Advanced Hair Cutting: • Creative cutting – asymmetry, avant-garde, and modern styles. • Precision cutting – mastering detail work for clean lines and accuracy. • Clipper-over-comb and fading techniques – seamless blends using guards and comb control. Styling & Product Knowledge: • Understanding product use and styling techniques. • Working with different sizes of flat irons and other tools to finish and enhance cuts. ⸻ Class Details • Schedule: Monday–Wednesday, 7 hours per session (on-site or off-site). • Models: You may bring 1–3 live models to practice in this class. • Optional Add-Ons: Expand your training with additional classes such as: • Hair Color Mastery • Business & Branding for Stylists • Self-Image (Confidence Building , Hair & Makeup •. Cancellation Policy
Sweetened By Honey Membership Policy Thank you for choosing a membership package to maintain your crown with love and consistency! Please review the following policies to ensure a smooth and respectful experience for both you and your stylist: Membership Terms Memberships are auto-renewed monthly unless paused or canceled at least 7 days before the next billing cycle. All services must be used within the month of activation and do not roll over into the next cycle. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Scheduling & Late Arrivals Members are responsible for scheduling appointments in advance to secure desired time slots. A 10-minute grace period is allowed. After 10 minutes, your appointment may be shortened or rescheduled, and a $15 late fee may apply. Cancellations & Rescheduling Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment will result in a $50 cancellation fee or forfeiture of the visit (based on package). No-shows will result in the loss of the scheduled session without refund or reschedule. One emergency reschedule per billing cycle is permitted at no charge. Pausing or Canceling Memberships Memberships can be paused for up to 30 days due to travel, illness, or emergencies—just email or DM your request. Cancellations must be made in writing (email, text) at least 7 days before renewal. Service Customizations Any service add-ons (deep treatments, color, head spa, etc.) not included in your plan will be charged separately at a discounted member rate. Membership services cannot be exchanged or gifted. By enrolling, you agree to honor these policies in mutual respect for your time, my craft, and the healing space we share.
